A post-surgery kit for wound care and scar care is provided by the clinic, which includes adhesive dressing for the first change.
- Post-surgical wound must be kept clean and dry. Wet and smeared dressing needs to be exchanged for new and sterile ones. You can buy them at the pharmacist.
- Once it is allowed to shower again, wetting the wound is not a problem. After washing it, dry and ventilate the wound and place a new patch on it.
- Inflammatory wound should be cleaned with a PH-neutral soap.
- Avoid stretching, abrasing and moving the wound.
- Wear supporting garments gained from the clinic
- Smoking impairs wound healing
- If the wound is sore or red, it secretes, is malodorous, or You have a fever higher than 37.5 degrees, contact the clinic.
- If You have had a breast surgery and Your breast has suddenly swelled up or is glowing, contact the clinic.
- After the absorbing or removing of the sutures, a scar is formed in the incision area. To soften the scar a silicone patch or a silicone gel can be used. These are available for purchase at our clinic.
- Avoid rubbing and stretching the scar.
- Protect the scar against UV-radiation to avoid it pigmenting darker.
