I’d been wanting to have upper eyelid surgery for quite a while. Looking in the mirror, I kept saying to myself that I will do it, but I never did. I don’t really know why. Maybe because “beauty surgeries” always seemed kind of alien to me, felt expensive, a lot of time needed to be put in to find the right clinic, etc. I just kept putting it off, waiting for the “right time”. Somehow, people tend to postpone things and get tangled in the obstacles in the way.

Finally, after a few years of contemplating and looking at the great results online, I realised it was indeed time to do something for myself. I had two choices: keep on whining in front of the mirror or finally have the surgery done. The only clinic I contemplated was Christinas Clinic. After the consultation, I was so sure about it that I scheduled my surgery for the next week already. I didn’t want to wait any longer, it was time to fulfil my dream!

On a Friday morning, I went to the clinic for the appointment. Surgeon thoroughly examined my face and said my eyes are different in their shape. One had more excess skin to be removed, which meant that the left eye could end up with a somewhat longer scar that might be visible for a while. I listened to him carefully and felt very well informed before the surgery.

The procedure was fast and a few hours later, I was home already. The sutures were taken out on Monday and the next day, I went to work. I wore sunglasses to hide my blue eyelids. I was given exact post-surgical instructions; for example, I wasn’t allowed to stoop down for a while.

I am still very happy with the results every day! Now, I can do my eyelashes and put on my eyeliner without having half of my face covered with it. My eyes look a lot larger, I feel like a different person really. I didn’t enjoy the earlier look at all.
